Meadowfoot to perform Troubador

January 27, 2010

Meadowfoot, a Sue Ray side project, is performing Thursday 28th of January at The Troubadour supported by JPan Fan and Son Of Sea. Doors open 8pm.

Meadowfoot, who describe their sound simply as “beautiful noise”, is an ever growing ensemble of musicians hand selected from many musical backgrounds and successful Brisbane bands. The songs have long been hidden in the mind of Sue Ray, who is better known for her Alt country sound rather than the unexpected dark flavour you will find in Meadowfoot.

Sometimes compared to The Drones and The Dirty Three, Meadowfoot has a unique and surprising sound, filled with unexpected elements of sweet melancholic folk music entwined with darker pulsing undertones.

You can never be too sure what a Meadowfoot performance will involve or which instrumental line-up to expect, always allowing for unique and unpredictable performances.
